Meanwhile, repairing ball marks on the greens and filling tee and fairway divots will aid the process. The winter kill isn’t confined to the Creek; every course in the area suffered to a greater or lesser extent. Chalk it up to another challenge Gary must address. Feel good – play The Creek! The ladies 18-hole golf group plays every Thursday throughout the year. Their annual schedule includes a variety of enjoyable formats. Members as well as guests are welcome to join for a competitive and congenial experience at the Creek. Post-round lunches and good-natured commiserations on the day’s play are common at the grille. Any of the group’s officers (Cookie Caruso, Mimi Wittkamp, Pat Shealy, Marge DePalermo) or tournament committee members (Louise Latsko, Ann Marie Cox, Carolyn Davis, Jeanne Scarton) will be happy to introduce newcomers to the group. The Community Scramble is scheduled for Saturday, May 19th, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Entry is $40 adjusted for those with the cart plan which covers golf, food and prizes. Additional lunches are available for non-golfers for $12. Registration is open at the shop for team signups and individuals who will be paired with others. Signup deadline is Monday, the 14th. Now is a good time to work on your golf game for the coming good golfing months ahead.
